I was perusing the innernets a few months ago when I ran across the coolest little eco-friendly anti-ephemera that I had seen in a while.
Nope, it’s not a fabric envelope, although that is a pretty cool idea too.
It was a reuseable sandwich wrapper with velcro closures that had a nylon lining to keep your food fresh.
When you are packing a lunch, just insert a sandwich (hopefully yours looks more appetizing than my pitiful demo-wich)
Then fold up the sides to keep it fresh!
It’s as easy as 1…
When I saw it, I did a quick calculation of all the money I’ve spent on Ziploc bags throughout my lifetime (approximately $4,585,393.37) and I knew I HAD to have one of these cute little wrappers.
Luckily, I’ve got some hookups in the sewing world. I showed the sandwich wrap to my friend Steph over at Mada’s Place. She instantly fell in love with it as well, and declared that she could make one, easy peasy. Within a few weeks she had whipped out 12 of the suckers and was hocking them in her etsy store.
And right now I’m about to give away one of them to some lucky peep!
To be entered in the contest, simply:
Leave a comment in this blog entry and tell me your favorite type of sandwich. That’s it. Nothing too hard. Everybody loves sandwiches, right? If not, post “I hate sandwiches. Bah, humbug.” That’s good enough to get you entered in the contest.
One lucky winner will receive one Itsawrap Sandwich Wrap.
No entries after 10:00 pm Central Time on Thursday, July 30th, 2009.
Winners will be announced on Friday the 31st. Be sure to leave your contact info or check back to see if you’ve won!
