This year for Valentine’s Day J brought me some heart shaped Krispy Kremes and pizza from Joe’s Italian. drool. What can I say? The man knows me well.
Last year for Valentine’s Day he bought me a hedge trimmer and told me “You need to trim your bush.” This year he tried to find a cordless leaf blower at Lowes but he struck out. I am a little disappointed, mainly because I’d like to see what that card woulda said. And also because I really wanted a cordless leaf blower after battling the Hundred Acre Woods all fall and winter. I think I need to look up Christopher Robin for some tips on lawn maintenance.
I also got a sweet package from my friend Mandy. MB was my secret Valentine in an exchange this year! She sent me a big assortment of goodies, including my very favorite Valentine’s candy– Conversation Hearts, or as my husband refers to them, Antacid Hearts. Doesn’t everyone deserve a heart shaped Tums to tell them that they rock?
She sent me a package of her handmade Valentine’s cards that she sold in her etsy store, which I promptly ripped open and filled out to give to my husband since I might have forgotten to buy him a gift this year…
She also included a super cute heart made of little red twigs that looks mighty fine on my new Willow House Keepsake Card and Photo Display!
Pretty, right?? Oh yeah, baby!
Ok, so without further ado, here goes my Ode to Krispy Kreme.
Roses are red,
Violets are blue.
There’s not much better than heart shaped fried dough
to say “I love you”.
Hope you all had a very sweet Valentine’s day!
We sure did!
