Ok, I need y’alls help with something.
I wanna hang my big blue beadboard beauty from Southern Accents on my staircase wall.
But before this big honker beast gets hung I need to know…
Square?
Or diagonal?
Whatchya think?

I think it fills the space nicer as a square 🙂

I vote for diagonal. That way the side of it is parallel to the handrail on the staircase.

Actually….looking again…because of those windows….Diagonal…ugh thank God it’s not me! I’d have Swiss cheese walls by now!

I would say square. Square will go along with the lines of the windows and the actual stairs as well. I think it’s visually “lined up” better square. The diagonal only lines up with the railing, and, for me, one vertical line is enough, make the illusion better…hope this makes sense! In my head it does! haha!

Diagonal looks better since it lined up with the banister.

Hmmm – though choice – I vote for square 🙂

Diagnal, it fits the wall better but if you go square, raise it up a bit to give a little more space between the square & the step molding. Have fun! 🙂

Diagonal! Looks better and it fits more with the banister.

I defnitely vote Diagonal!!! I love the way it mirrors the line of the banister!

Diagonal! It seems to just fit the space better that way.
