My love story began at an ice skating party while in college. I told the host that was going to be the man that I marry. I did marry 9 years later only to have our storybook marriage end when my husband had been electrocuted then died of cancer. He was the love of my life. I have never remarried.

I can so relate. We had a baby, then for 10 YEARS we tried for another…Cancer, IVf, more IVF, and life happened, but still no baby. Then one day, I was late. Happened to have a pregnancy test lying around and, you guessed it- pregnant. I had a perfectly normal wonderful miracle at age 43! I prayed every night for those 10 years and my miracle finally came.
Congrats on YOUR little miracle. You are blessed!

I met my husband at small party at my cousin’s house. I was in the kitchen helping my cousin serve drinks and food and he kept coming to me asking for water. LOL

We just had triplets. My husband has been deployed abroad in the military and we were planing on his being at the birth via Skype. As they were preparing the Skype monitor in the room and contacting my husband, my husband walked into my room with a bouquet of roses. He had received emergency leave which happened to be at the right time. It was kept secret from me by our forends he quickly picked him up and rushed him to the hospital. He flew over 30 hours just to get home to be with me for the delivery of our children. But we have special moments and many love stories to share. Rene Chartier

A friend took me to a Denver Women’s Chorus concert and I fell in love with the singing. I’ve been singing with them now for 25 years. Love it.
Thanks for the contest.

How I met my husband could be the basis of a Hallmark movie. I went to Alaska to visit my cousins Mark and Heather. Before I got there Mark set up a rafting trip with his former co-worker and friend John who was guiding on the river that summer. We were attracted to each other instantly and kept in touch after I returned home. 16 months later we were married.

Congratulations! Children are a blessing! I’m afraid my husband and I have the boring story of “meeting in college,” but I’m still thankful for him!

I met my husband online and we lived less that a mile apart when we met. The crazy part is that we have the same jobs as his parents at the same companies. Crazy! kristiedonelson(at)gmail(dot)com Thank you.

My love story is a bit of a cliche. When I was 15, I was over at my sister in laws house. We decided to go and get a movie (yes get a movie at an actual store!) and some snacks. We picked up our movie and headed to the grocery store. On the way, we passed a truck and my sister in law waved at the driver. He ended up turning around and parking next to us at the store. He got out, and pulled a couple beers out of a cooler in his backseat (let’s not get into how many thing are wrong with that statement since I’ve got a budding teen myself!). I was struck by how cool he seemed! What a rebel. We sat in the parking lot and had a beer and exchanged numbers. The next day we went on a real date. And now, 20 years later, we’re still happily married! I will NEVER share all those details with my teens! haha!

Sounds like you have an exciting year ahead! My love story starts twenty-two years ago, when two lovesick teenagers met at band camp, and continued! But, this year, we have been able to really see that love story in action. Five years ago I was diagnosed with a rare pregnancy related heart condition called peripartum cardiomyopathy. I went into heart failure. After a long time of staying stable, I took a sudden turn for the worse this year. All of the sudden, I found myself on the heart transplant list, and was being evaluated for an LVAD or a new heart. It was so scary.Luckily, our love story continued. My husband showed his love daily-helping with the laundry, kids, cooking, grocery shopping. He drove me to every appointment, and never complained during my many hospitalizations. He let me know we would find a way as the medical bills mounted.. As my heart continued to fail, I also felt our love continue to grow!

There is a moment in everyone’s life that stands out above all others. Mine was the day, I met my son. I had to have surgery to have him, and we almost lost him. But, he pulled through. When the nurse brought him over to me to see him for the first time. It was love at first sight.

My hubby and I did long distance our entire dating and it’s by God’s grace that we are such a good fit!

My husband and I had to face extreme criticism from our families about us seeing each other. We first met when I was 16 and he was 19. I would up moving away, but we continued to talk to each other. Everyday almost. Then we just kind of stopped talking one day for about 2 years. Then, out of the blue, he calls me and we start talking again. I would up moving back and we met up and now we’ve been married for almost 3 years!

My Love Story is very unique. I was ready to find a man that wanted a relationship but had no idea where or how to find this person. I decided to pray and ask God to help me find that person. About 3 days later I was grocery shopping and I was a little short on the funds by .40 and the cashier put in the money and we got to talking. I asked her if she knew the guy I saw in there a few times stocking shelves because I thought he was nice and he had helped me find items when I was shopping. She said “That would be Tony, here is his phone number” as she pulled a piece of paper out of her pocket. “He would be happy to talk to you” There were 3 numbers listed and when I got home I called the first number and a lady answered and I didn’t leave a message with her and didn’t call any of the other numbers. He called me back later finding my number on the caller I.D. and we knew the first night we finally met we were meant to be together and were married 6 months later. We have been together for almost 17 years now.
